10 Ways to Make Yourself More Attractive

While there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to making yourself more attractive, there are some important things you can do that will help you improve your appearance and feel better about yourself. Here are ten of the most important things you can do to make yourself more attractive, with tips on how to implement them in your life today.

Know how to dress yourself

Fit and fashion go hand in hand, but you don’t have to have a personal shopper in order to look great. If you want that beautiful body you’ve always wanted, start dressing for it. It doesn’t take a lot of money or even time to find what works for your body type—it just takes an open mind and willingness to experiment. This may be as simple as trying new brands at a local boutique, or going with classic pieces that can work season after season. Best of all? You can score major style points without breaking your budget.

Never stop learning

Learning new things keeps your mind fresh, engaged and creative. It also challenges you to see things from different perspectives and helps you find better solutions for challenges that arise in your work and life. If you’re looking for new ways to cultivate your mental health, try learning a new language or skill or taking an interesting class at a local community college. When you leave it all on paper: Sharing what you know with others helps build credibility; if something becomes popular with your audience, they’ll be more likely to come back for more of what you have to offer (and share your content). You don’t have to write down absolutely everything—just look for opportunities where it would be helpful to do so.

The power of your attitude

it's all about confidence. People with high self-esteem tend to hold their heads up, walk with a certain sway, smile at people they pass in public, and are usually more approachable than those who think of themselves as unattractive. There are no specific looks or features that make someone attractive—attractiveness is an attitude. If you want people to be drawn to you like a magnet, act like you're already confident in your own skin.

Smell nice

It’s a scientific fact that women are more attracted to men who smell good. We can’t tell you exactly why—maybe it has something to do with pheromones or good genes—but all we know is that when a guy smells nice, he gets more action. But wearing cologne doesn’t mean splashing on an overpowering scent; instead, try spritzing on some aftershave. The mixture of water and alcohol will give your body its own unique scent without being overpowering.

Be confident and positive

It’s a fact that people naturally like others who are confident and positive. If you’re feeling down, it’s time to work on feeling better about yourself. Speak positively about yourself in your head, walk tall and put a smile on your face. It doesn’t matter if these actions feel contrived at first; over time they will become second nature. Do all of these things every day until you notice an uptick in compliments and positive interactions with others. Practice makes perfect!

Be open-minded

To make yourself more attractive, you must be ready to take advice from others. Whether you’re physically or mentally changing yourself, always remember that there are other ways of seeing a situation—other opinions out there besides your own. Learn how to accept these opinions without letting them get in your way. Look at what other people have done and learn from their mistakes as well as their successes. And then pick an approach that works for you. Being open-minded is extremely important when trying to improve yourself; don’t let self-imposed fears stop you from accepting some help. After all, if everyone could succeed on their own every time, then self-help books wouldn’t exist! Be ready to take on board new information and change your opinion if necessary.

Use the word we instead of I

When you describe something as we/our, it conveys a sense of confidence and strength. For example, We’re going to take over the world! sounds more authoritative than I’m going to take over the world! And one of my favorite examples is from Steve Jobs: We don’t have to shrink what we do. We can expand what we do. We just need to expand our ability. (1) Seems better than Our abilities aren’t good enough to allow us to grow at the rate we want. Instead of our concentrating on shrinking what we do, let’s concentrate on expanding what we do.(2) It just sounds more confident and assertive. And that definitely makes for better sales copy.

Learn how to cook good meals

Making your own food gives you control over what you’re eating and can help get rid of bad cooking habits. Learn how to make a few meals that will make you look good, taste good, and feel good when you eat them. A happy body equals a happier life, so try experimenting with new recipes. With some time and dedication, anyone can cook amazing meals that they can share with friends or save for later.

Speak correctly

When it comes to attraction, first impressions are everything. If you’re able to make a lasting impression on someone, they’ll notice all of your other good qualities. If your speech is riddled with grammatical errors or mispronounced words (which really does happen), you immediately lower your attractiveness and credibility as a candidate for hire. You can get professional help if you need to learn how to speak correctly; most online tutors also offer grammar lessons, since writing well has so much in common with speaking well.

Ditch your phone addiction - put it away for at least an hour a day, maybe two!

If you’re anything like me, your phone is an integral part of your life. But maybe that’s not a good thing: a University of Glasgow study revealed that people who checked their phones when they had nothing else to do experienced decreased levels of well-being and life satisfaction than those who did not use their phones during these so-called downtime periods. In order to curb my own addiction—and boost my own happiness—I aim for two tech-free hours every day; it’s still hard sometimes, but at least I’m fighting back against smartphone tyranny!

6 Tips to Help You Stop Fighting with Your Spouse

Having frequent fights with your spouse might seem normal to you, but it’s not something that you should accept as part of your relationship. Because while it’s true that every couple argues from time to time, if you and your spouse constantly fight, it can put a serious strain on your relationship, negatively impacting the love and respect you have for each other and leading to resentment and frustration instead of closeness and understanding. But there are ways to stop fighting with your spouse so that you can start enjoying peaceful relationships together again.
